This ten part HBO miniseries aired in 2001 and follows Easy Company of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment from training in Georgia through D-Day, Market Garden, Bastogne, and into Germany. It is built from Stephen Ambrose's book and from interviews with the surviving men, several of whom appear on camera between episodes. Damian Lewis plays Richard Winters, with Ron Livingston, Neal McDonough, Michael Cudlitz, Donnie Wahlberg, Scott Grimes, David Schwimmer, and an early appearance by Tom Hardy. Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks produced it after Saving Private Ryan.
