The CBS procedural follows the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit, a team of profilers who build psychological portraits of serial offenders to catch them before they strike again. Joe Mantegna, Paget Brewster, Kirsten Vangsness, A.J. Cook, and Aisha Tyler lead the current cast, with Matthew Gray Gubler, Shemar Moore, and Thomas Gibson central to the original run. After fifteen seasons on CBS ending in 2020, it was revived on Paramount+ as Criminal Minds: Evolution in 2022 and continues there. Earlier seasons also stream on Hulu and Prime Video.
