The second volume trades the swordplay of the first for something slower and far more talkative, following the Bride as she crosses off the last names on her list and finally reaches the man who ordered her killed. Much of it plays out in trailers, a roadside chapel, and a buried pine box in the Texas desert. Uma Thurman returns opposite David Carradine as Bill, with Michael Madsen as his brother Budd, Daryl Hannah as Elle Driver, and Gordon Liu as the kung fu master who once trained her. Quentin Tarantino again wrote and directed.
