Gy Waldron writes and directs this backroads action comedy about Grady and Bobby Lee Hagg, who run moonshine for their Uncle Jesse across the Georgia hills. When a big-city operator named Jake tries to fold the family's old-school still into a mob-run liquor racket, the Haggs fight to stay independent, with Waylon Jennings narrating as the Balladeer. The film was reworked four years later into the television series The Dukes of Hazzard.
