George P. Cosmatos's Western brings Wyatt Earp and his brothers to the Arizona silver town of Tombstone hoping to get rich quietly, until the outlaw gang called the Cowboys forces the Earps and Doc Holliday into the gunfight at the O.K. Corral and the vendetta ride that followed. Kurt Russell plays Wyatt, Val Kilmer gives a career performance as the consumptive Holliday, and Sam Elliott, Bill Paxton, Powers Boothe, Michael Biehn, and Charlton Heston fill out the cast. A modest hit in 1993, it has grown into one of the most rewatched Westerns of its generation.
